Marketing Management

This program provides students with an awareness of the marketing techniques, tools, and problems that confront today’s business organizations. Students learn how to apply the tools and techniques involved in marketing problem solving. Marketing managers may formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services. They may conduct market research or coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows.

Career Opportunities

Marketing managers may choose to work in retail management or sales. They may enjoy conducting market research, or they may choose to focus on directing and enhancing customer service. Marketing Management graduates may decide to “try their hand” at entrepreneurial opportunities.

Program Purpose:

The Marketing Management program is designed to prepare students for employment in a variety of positions in today’s marketing and management fields. The Marketing Management program provides learning opportunities that introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to upgrade present knowledge and skills or to retrain in the area of marketing management. Graduates of the program receive a Marketing Management Associate of Applied Science degree with a specialization in marketing administration or entrepreneurship specialization. Each course within all of Chattahoochee Technical College’s diploma/certificate level programs is acceptable for full credit toward the Occupationally-related Elective or General Elective hours for this associate degree.

Program Length:

A full time student who needs no preparatory coursework in algebra, English, math or reading and maintains satisfactory progress can complete the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Marketing Management in six quarters.
