Microcomputer Applications and Technology Concentration
Program Requirements (35 credits)

The Microcomputer Applications and Technology degree track is designed
to meet the training needs for small business entry-level positions that
require a variety of computer skills. Students have the flexibility of taking a
number of preparatory courses for a variety of certifications by completing
the requirements for respective Letters of Qualification. Certifications that
students can pursue are Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Microsoft
Certified Application Specialist certifications; Computer Technology/
Industry Association (CompTIA) A+, Security +, and Network+; Microsoft
Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) Server; Cisco Certified Network
Associate (CCNA); Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3
); Sun Jav
Certified Programmer (SJCP); and Certified Internet Web (CIW) Associate.
